NIA filed Charge sheet against 6 including suspended DSP Davinder Singh

On Monday,The National Investigation Agency(NIA) filed a charge sheet against six people, including suspended Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh, for their involvement in terrorist activities. The NIA has stated in its charge sheet that Pakistani authorities had prepared Davinder Singh for the purpose of obtaining sensitive information.
Davinder sent several important information about the ongoing anti-terrorism operations in Kashmir to the officials of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. He was in touch with officials of the Pakistani High Commission through social media platforms.

According to NIA officials, apart from Davinder Singh, the charge sheet also named the banned terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen commander Syed Naveed Mushtaq alias Naveed Babu, the organization's alleged underground activist Irfan Shafi Mir and its member Rafi Ahmed Rather.
Apart from this, businessman Tanveer Ahmed Wani and Naveed Babu's brother Syed Irfan Ahmed have also been nominated. The suspended DSP was in contact with officials of the Pakistan High Commission through Mir. Recently, India sent the same officials back to Pakistan on charges of espionage.
These officials of the Pakistani High Commission were providing many facilities to the DSP. Recently suspended Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh was granted bail by a Delhi court. The Delhi Police could not file a charge sheet against him, due to which he got bail from the court.
Davinder Singh was arrested when he was taking three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists from his car to Jammu on 13 January. He was caught in a car on the Srinagar-Jammu highway along with the terrorists. After this, Davinder was suspended from service. Singh was also accused of having links with Afzal Guru, the mastermind of the Parliament attack. Naveed Babu was also one of the two terrorists caught with Devendra. Naweed Babu is associated with the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. The terrorists caught with Devinder also stayed at his Srinagar home.
