Congress in-charge General Secretary Avinash Pandey said that the party would use all available democratic measures amid the ongoing political drama in Rajasthan. He said that many legislators who are supporting former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot are in touch with Congress leaders.
Pandey told reporters, "We will use all the measures that are present in democracy in a complete Gandhian manner and in a peaceful manner." The Ashok Gehlot government of the state wants to call a special session of the assembly but Governor Kalraj Mishra has twice returned the proposal to this effect.
Talking about further action, Pandey said, "As Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has indicated that if necessary, he will plead with all the people's representatives in front of the President and protect democracy." Along with this, Pandey said that some MLAs of the Sachin Pilot camp are in touch with Congress leaders. In response to a question, Pandey said,
"Certainly many MLAs are in touch." A senior Congress leader has given the number of such MLAs to three, but Pandey said, 'This number may be even higher. Pandey said that if the MLAs who revolted from the Gehlot government apologize after admitting their mistakes and place their concerns in front of the party high command, then certainly they can be respected in the Congress in the coming time.
