Controversy over forcibly painting homes with saffron(bhagwa) colour in prayagraj

In Bahadurganj area of Prayagraj city, residents have accused the people close to the state government minister Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' for accusing them of forcibly painting their houses with saffron(bhagwa) colour.

It has been alleged in the Complaint given on Sunday by the resident of Bahadurgarh and former veterinary officer Jeevan Chand at Kotwali, 15-20 boys sent by Abhilasha Gupta and Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' to forcefully paint our house with saffron (bhagwa) color, beaten me, dragged me and abused my wife Sunita Srivastava. A case under section 504, 323 and 147 has been registered against unknown people in this Complaint of Jeevan Chand.

Another resident of Bahadurganj, Ravi Gupta has alleged in the Complaint at Kotwali on Sunday that at around 4 am on July 12, Kamal Kumar Kesarwani alias Lala came with his 15-20 boys and started painting front side of my house with saffron(bhagwa). According to Complaint, on protesting this, he threatened to kill him and said that "he will colour his house with saffron at any cost".
