Admit children of migrant laborers without documents: HRD Ministry

The children of migrant labourers who returned to their home state during the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of corona virus infection will be admitted without documentation.

Guidelines have been issued by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development for states and union territories. Apart from this, the states from which these children have gone, those states have also been told not to remove the names of these children from their record.

The guidelines issued by the ministry said that migrant labourers who returned to their home state during the nationwide lockdown were also accompanied by their families and children.

In such a situation, the states where the migrants have returned, they should enroll the children of the migrant labourers without any documents so that there is no loss of education of the children. Although, they can ask for their identity card.
