UP Child Rights commission issues notice to Priyanka gandhi

The Uttar Pradesh State Child Rights Protection Commission sent a notice to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday for making misleading remarks on the matter related to the Girl Child Protection Home in Kanpur and sought her response within three days.

In a notice sent to Priyanka, the Chairman of the Commission Special Gupta said that the Commission expect the reply within three days.The notice states that if she does not deny her Facebook post, strict action will be taken against her.

Priyanka had compared the incident of 57 girls found corona infected and seven of them pregnant in Kanpur's Girl Child Protection Home to an incident in Muzaffarpur in Bihar, claiming that a similar incident took place in Deoria district.

The Commission, taking cognizance of Priyanka's Facebook post, described it as misleading and factless and termed it as disrespectful to the girls. The notice states that this misleading post by Priyanka has caused mental pain to the girls of the Girl Child Protection Home.
