The news of postponement of NEET-UG is rumour: NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a clarification on the news of postponement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET-UG) to be held in July 2020.

The NTA informed the candidates and their parents that the concerned authorities had not taken any decision regarding postponement of the examination. The NTA has issued a very important notice regarding NEET graduates.

NTA has warned the candidates and their parents about a new fraudulent examination. The NTA has said that it has come to its notice that a fake public notice issued on 15 June 2020 titled 'National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) postponed July 2020' was circulated through various sources and on social media.

The NTA has said that it has taken it seriously and is investigating the source of this fake notice issued with the intention of misleading candidates, parents and the general public.

Strict action will be taken against such anti-people elements. The agency has said that all candidates, parents and the public are informed that no such decision has been taken by the NTA or the concerned authorities till date.

It is therefore advisable to be vigilant against such misleading news released publicly. The NTA has advised to rely only on the information available on its official website about the exam.
