Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami arrived at Mumbai's NM Joshi police station for questioning on Wednesday. Arnab goswami is accused of insulting Congress president Sonia Gandhi. An FIR was filed against him in Mumbai. Police will interrogate them for the second time today in the same case. Earlier, police have questioned him for hours.

Earlier on May 19, the Supreme Court extended protection for three weeks from the punitive action received by Arnab Goswami. However, the court rejected his demand for the case to be handed over to the CBI. The Supreme Court has quashed all except the first FIR filed against him. The court also said that the freedom of journalism is the basic basis of freedom of speech and expression.

dozens of FIRs were lodged against Armab goawami for insulting Congress President Sonia Gandhi and for allegedly making derogatory remarks and spreading communalism. After the FIR was filed, Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami approached the Supreme Court for relief.

After Maharashtra, more than a dozen FIRs have been lodged against Arnab in different police stations of Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab and Chhattisgarh by Congress leaders. Arnab was also allegedly attacked late night in Mumbai and two of its accused were arrested.
