Rape in a moving bus, accused driver arrested

A rape case has been reported in an AC sleeper bus coming from Pratapgarh to Noida. It is alleged that the driver in the moving bus carried out the incident on the back seat.
Upon reaching Noida, the woman complained to the police. In this case, an accused driver has been arrested after registering a case in Kotwali Sector-20. Others, including the main accused, are still absconding. The police have seized the bus. The bus owner is being searched.
According to the police, The woman, along with her two children, boarded a private AC bus for Noida in Pratapgarh around 7:30 pm on Tuesday. The bus had two drivers, Ratan and Deepak and the operator. Apart from this, about 20 passengers were sitting in the bus.
Deepak was driving the bus at night when the bus started on the road from Lucknow to Mathura. It is alleged that the woman was sleeping in the back seat of the bus during the night. Then Ratan, the driver, reached her and raped her. After the incident, the woman informed her husband by phone in Noida.
After this, her husband reached Sector 18 with his friends, The woman's husband attempts to stop the bus but the bus did not stop, he followed them from auto and stopped the bus near Sector-62.
After this, the police team also reached there. The police team seized the bus and arrested the driver Deepak from the spot. Others escaped along with the main accused Ratan. DCP Women's Safety Vrinda Shukla said that as soon as the Noida police got the information of the case, a case was registered in the police station Sector 20 and an accused was arrested.
She told that the bus owner is being searched. Medical examination of the woman is being conducted by the Medical Board. DCP said that all the fellow passengers who were in the bus are being identified and their statements are being recorded.
