Last year examinations of universities may be cancelled

The final year proposed examination in july for the students of universities and colleges may be cancelled, a panel of the University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked for the cancellation of these examinations in view of the ever increasing cases of corona virus infection.

On the other hand, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has also asked the UGC to take decisions keeping in mind the health of students, teachers and staff.

UGC will issue detailed guidelines in this regard this week. According to media reports through the sources in the ministry, in view of increasing cases of corona infection, the UGC panel has recommended not to conduct final year examinations.

At the same time, the Union Minister also asked the UGC to take care of the health of all by issuing revised guidelines. The minister tweeted in this regard that he advised the UGC to reconsider the guidelines and examinations issued earlier.
