BJP national president hits back at Manmohan Singh

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda hit back at former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday, saying that he handed over hundreds of square kilometers of India's land to China as a prime minister without any conflict between 2010 and 2013, during his tenure the neighboring country infiltrated 600 times.

Manmohan Singh had criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dealing with the current deadlock with China, after which Nadda said on Twitter that senior Congress leaders and the congress party should stop repeatedly insulting our forces and stop questioning their bravery.

The BJP president said that Congress leaders had done the same after (Balakot) airstrike, Nadda said that the Congress should understand the true meaning of national unity, especially at such a time. He tweeted that Dr. Manmohan Singh comes from the same party, who surrendered over 43,000 kilometers of Indian territory to China.

The reign of the United Progressive Alliance government saw a strategic and regional surrender without conflict. Again and again our forces were insulted. Former Prime Minister Singh, in his first remarks on the deadlock with China in Ladakh, said on Monday about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent statement that the Prime Minister should not give strength to China's conspiratorial stance by his statement.

One should be very careful about the effect of his words. Noting that misleading propaganda can never be an alternative to diplomacy and strong leadership, Singh appealed to the Prime Minister that justice should be ensured for soldiers who lost their lives while protecting India's territorial integrity.
