2.15 lakh sample tested for Covid-19 in india within 24 hours: ICMR

Till June 23, more than 73.50 lakh samples have been tested in india after Corona virus infection and 2,15,195 were tested on a single day on Tuesday, which is highest number if testing till now. Officials of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) told about this on Wednesday.
The (ICMR) has so far allowed 1,000 laboratories to investigate corona virus infection in the country. Currently 3 lakh samples can be tested daily. Total 1,000 laboratories has been setup for testing, 730 are government and 270 are from the private sector. It consists of 557 RT-PCR laboratories, 363 TrueNet laboratories and 80 CBNAAT laboratories.
