Manish Sisodia writes letter to finance minister demanding ₹ 5000 crore for Delhi

The treasury of the Delhi government is struggling with the Corona crisis. In such a situation, the Aam Aadmi Party government has sought help from the central government. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the Delhi government has sought help of Rs 5,000 crore from the Center due to lack of revenue.
Manish Sisodia,said on Sunday, "We have reviewed the Delhi government's revenue and its minimum expenditure." 3500 crores is required every month for salary and office expenses. There has been a GST collection of 500-500 crore rupees in the last two months. If combined with income from other sources, the government has Rs 1735 crore. We need 7000 crores rupees for 2 months."
Manish Sisodia wrote on Twitter "I have written a letter to the Union Finance Minister demanding Rs 5000 crore for Delhi.
Due to the corona and lockdown, the tax collection of Delhi Government is running down about 85%. Delhi has not received any funds from the Disaster Relief Fund released by the Center to the remaining states."
