Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has done surgical strike in pakistan and rescued 2 soldiers from the clutches of terrorists in Pakistan. These soldiers were among the 12 soldiers who were Kidnapped in 2018. According to the media reports, the operation was carried out based on intelligence within Pakistan.

Breafing about Iran Pakistan Surgical strike, The IRGC was quoted as saying, "A successful operation was carried out on Tuesday night to rescue two soldiers of the hostage border guards held by the terrorist organization Jaish-ul-Adal, who were abducted two and a half years ago.” Both the rescued soldiers have been sent to Iran.

On 16 October 2018, Jaish-ul-Adal organization kidnapped 12 IRGC guards. They were kept in Balochistan province. Subsequently, military officers of both countries formed a joint committee. 5 of the 12 soldiers were released in November 2018. After this, on 21 March 2019, 4 soldiers were freed by the Pakistani Army.
