Bihar: In wake of Floods,CM advices the DMs to evacuate people living in Diyara and low-lying areas

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the Disaster Management Department to be ready for quick action in view of the possibility of flood due to heavy rains. He said that people living near the embankments should be sent to safe places. Keep complete preparation for this.
The water resources department is also on alert mode for the protection of embankments. On the instructions of the CM, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar spoke to the DM of the districts concerned with video conferencing on Friday and took stock of the pre-flood preparations and gave necessary guidelines.
Seeing the rising water level of the rivers due to heavy rains in North Bihar and Nepal, the Chief Secretary directed the DM concerned to evacuate people living in Diyara and low-lying areas. Keep people alert by mikes or other means in the surrounding areas. Keep the NDRF team deployed.
Meanwhile, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Jha has said that preparations have been started to move the people living inside the dam and in the low lying area.
