According to forecasts on July 4, 2020 a rare and eccentric scientific phenomenon 'Planet Parade will occur. All the solar system planets- Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto- will get lined up or arranged on one side of the Sun and can be observed at the same time from the Earth.

Three planets are lined up at the same time twice a year, four planets once a year, the five planets- one time in every 19 years, and all eight planets of the solar system are aligned once in about 170 years.

As per a report citing StarWalk, the near perfect alignment will not occur as the deviation angle will be quite small. By planet's alignment or parade, astronomers indicate that planets will appear in the same part of the sky.

However the astronomers predict that there would be 'no full alignment'. Sometimes when the arrangements of planet may appear like a line but that may not be the case and is dependent on the viewpoint. Most often, two or three planets form a line in the sky.

The Parade of Players occurs unevenly and the configuration of planets for each parade is different. A planet parade of this type occurred on April 18, 2020 when all planets of the solar system that are visible to the naked eye aligned up in a row in the sky. Another term for a planet parade is 'appulse'.

The last parade of planets of this type was observed in 1982 and the next one is expected in 2161 and 2492.
